CARRIE-ANNE MOSS

There are women whose presence ripples through culture, not because they chase the spotlight, but because they move through the world with reverence. Carrie-Anne Moss is one of them.

The world first met her as Trinity, the enigmatic force in The Matrix whose quiet strength and piercing clarity defined a generation of cinema. But behind the mythology and the iconic leather silhouette is a woman whose truest legacy is rooted not in fiction, but in the sacred ordinary.

“I am humbled by the ordinary,” she says.
“I crave connection and intimacy.”

Today, Carrie-Anne’s life centres around motherhood, mindfulness, and meaning. She created Annapurna Living as a sanctuary for women - a place where ritual becomes remembrance, and where the everyday becomes holy again.

“There is a way through every block, and I remind myself of that daily."

“Motherhood opened me to diving deep into all things and living fully,” she shares. “My children have inspired me to grow past my character defects. I am most definitely imperfect. I thrive in overcoming.”

For Carrie-Anne, growth is not an achievement; it’s a practice. A devotion. A remembering.

Before the grounded presence she embodies now, there was the young woman navigating Hollywood—a world that offers everything and tests everything.

"I am open to what I cannot imagine" she says. "My dreams include meals at my wooden table with those I love, and watching others grow and thrive. I can't wait to hold my future grandparents and to see my children as parents. I dream of many summer mornings and winter nights."

“When I was younger and finding my way in Hollywood, I struggled with feeling that I was enough,” she admits. “I explored meditation and prayer. I read books about others who had overcome obstacles. I matured and transformed that young-woman insecurity through patience and a desire to break through any obstacle.”

Her rise - The Matrix, Memento, Jessica Jones, The Acolyte - brought her global recognition.
But it was the inner journey that shaped her.

“I don’t always feel joyful about challenging times,” she says, “but I know that I have been through hardship and grown through it. There is a way through every block, and I remind myself of that daily.”

This philosophy now threads through her teaching, her work, her mothering, and her art.

Through Annapurna Living, she invites women to listen to their bodies, honour their rhythms, and return to their own wisdom.

When asked about the future, Carrie-Anne doesn't speak of roles, accolades or industry milestones. Her dreams are rooted in lineage, love and life's simplest moments.

"I am open to what I cannot imagine" she says. "My dreams include meals at my wooden table with those I love, and watching others grow and thrive. I can't wait to hold my future grandparents and to see my children as parents. I dream of many summer mornings and winter nights."

This is the heart of the Trinity issue. The union of power, presence and peace. The reminder that becoming isn't about striving, it's about remembering.

Carrie-Anne Moss stands firmly in that remembering.

A woman who has seen the heights of Hollywood and still chooses to root herself in tenderness. A woman who embodies both strength and softness, myth and mother, cinema and soul.

She teaches us that legacy isn't the story we leave, it's how we live. And the most extraordinary thing of all, is the ordinary.

To you, the women on the ground, the women doing the hard work of the everyday, I feel you.

To the woman walking through life nose to the ground, look up and notice the sky.
To the woman making lunches and dinners day after day, bring awareness to your breath, bring yourself back to this moment, this mundane regular everyday moment, and know that within this moment is church.

To the woman missing your mother, your father, the baby that never was, bring them into your heart and feel the truth of their soul.

As you epic fail, day after day, pick yourself up, give yourself a pat on the back and the heart, and keep on keeping up.
When everyone around you looks like they have it all figured out and you are tempted to give your power away, stop and connect to your soul, and know that
you KNOW…

Listen to your body - it will give you all the clues you need.
Be creative because, if you aren’t, you will feel tired and blue.
When you feel overwhelmed by the trials of the world - the despair of children and human beings
everywhere - don’t get paralyzed; do something.
When the moon is new, make a wish.
When the moon is full, dance under her and give thanks for all.

WITH LOVE,
Carrie-Anne
